Job Description: Java Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture with expertise in Reactive Programming. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance solutions while adhering to best practices in software development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Development:
   • Design, implement, and maintain complex backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
   • Develop microservices-based solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
2. Reactive Programming:
   • Leverage Reactive frameworks (e.g., Project Reactor, RxJava) to build asynchronous, non-blocking applications.
3. Technical Leadership:
   • Guide team members on best coding practices and ensure adherence to coding standards.
   • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
4. Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UI/UX designers, and DevOps teams, to deliver high-quality solutions.
5. Problem Solving:
   • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.
   • Enhance system performance and reliability.
6. Documentation & Testing:
   • Document technical specifications and API design.
   • Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure high-quality code.
7. Deployment:
   • Work closely with the DevOps team to containerize applications using Docker and deploy them in cloud environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Core Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency in Java (8+), OOP, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Microservices:
  • Proficient in developing, deploying, and scaling Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with API Gateway and service discovery tools (e.g., Netflix Eureka, Spring Cloud).
• Reactive Programming:
  • In-depth knowledge of Reactive Streams, Project Reactor, or RxJava.
• Database Skills:
  • Experience with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• DevOps Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Testing:
  • Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and performance testing tools.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GraphQL, Kafka, or other messaging systems.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 44,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 157,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
