Java/C Software Engineer Onsite Location: Aurora, CO Required: Secret Clearance No 1099, No third parties, no C2C, No Visas or Green Cards No exceptions (Sorry) W2 Hourly long term Contract to Hire $55.00 - $90.50 per hour based on experience and benefits package GeoLogics is seeking highly qualified, motivated, and technically talented Java/C Software Engineer with an Active Secret Clearance in Aurora, CO to develop and maintain Java-based backend applications for satellite ground systems. Qualifications Required Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4-6 years of relevant software engineering experience.
Experience with Java and C software development in a Linux environment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Python.
Experience working with the Atlassian Tool suite.
Experience developing software in an Agile and/or DevOps environments.
Previous work satellite GPS software desirable.
Experience troubleshooting or debugging software.
Experience with unit and automated functional test concepts.
Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Java, C , and Python based backend applications for satellite ground systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust server-side solutions.
Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
Participate in system integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.
Keep abreast of advancements in Java and related technologies to drive continuous innovation.
