Role: Java Architect with DB2 - C2C

Location: Albany, New York - Onsite

Job description:
  1. Collections and Accounts Receivable
  2. Taxpayer Accounting
  3. Withholding Tax Returns Processing
Duties:
  1. Obtain business requirements to develop automated applications which meet business priorities.
  2. Provide programming duties for tax related applications.
  3. Develop and mentor staff using various technologies including J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript and JDBC.
  4. Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirement including detail specifications documents.
  5. Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.
  6. Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment.
  7. Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from development environment into user test environment.
  8. Assist team members using distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML and XQuery. Ensure that staff members are properly trained and mentored.
  9. Provide support, as needed, for defects and issue resolution.
  10. Ensure that defects and issues are addressed promptly based on priority.
  11. Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and DTF customers.
  12. Communicate both verbally and in writing, with DTF management and users, ITS management, and team members.
Mandatory Requirements
  1. Experience (14+ Years)
  2. Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.
Requirements
    1. This is an 100% Onsite
    2. 84 months experience with J2EE technologies including EJB, JDBC, JSP and XML.
    3. 84 months experience with Java programming in an IBM development environment using modern IDE's, such as Eclipse, RAD, NetBeans and IntelliJ.
    4. 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with DB2 databases.
    5. 60 months experience using J2EE frameworks such as spring or struts and application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere or WebLogic.
    6. 60 months of experience in messaging technologies such as IBM MQSeries, JMS, Kafka.
    7. 60 months experience with an organization which includes technical design, development, maintenance, and end user support of complex system.
