We are seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Research Analyst to join a team in a Research and Consulting Company in Bethesda, MD, working in a policy and research environment. This role involves in-depth research, thoughtful analysis, and collaboration with professionals from various fields. Responsibilities:

As a Research Analyst, you will play a role in delivering high-quality insights to clients across a wide range of topics. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Research: Conduct in-depth research through online sources, as well as phone and in-person interviews with experts in various fields.
  • Analysis: Consult with clients on their needs and make recommendations based on research, client requests, and current issues.
  • Writing: Work with other staff members in a multicultural office setting to summarize research findings and produce in-depth research reports.
  • Seminar and Conference Attendance: Attend congressional hearings, seminars, and conferences, and prepare briefing memos based on the events.

Qualifications:

  • Native-level fluency in Japanese is required.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under time pressure.
  • A motivated fast learner with a strong interest in the research and consulting field.
  • Master's degree in business, economics, marketing, international affairs, public policy, public administration, political science or a related field is preferred but not required.
