A global automotive parts manufacturing company currently seeking a Japanese / English Bilingual Translator and Administrative Support employee to support their facility in the northeastern Toledo, Ohio area. The ideal candidate has at least business-level language ability in both Japanese and English, and demonstrated work experience in administration and translation. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Translator / Admin Support Responsibilities Include:
- Written and oral translation between English and Japanese, translation of documents and emails, bilingual support of Japanese-speaking employees, etc.
- Participate in quality documentation / quality assurance as needed
- Assistance with executive meetings between upper management, clients, etc.
- Handle general administrative tasks, respond to customers inquiries when needed, and update data in company system(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Translator / Admin Support Qualifications Include:
- Higher education in a business-related field is preferred, OR High School Diploma / GED and equivalent work experience
- Advanced conversational-level Japanese language ability (JLPT N2 / N3 equivalent or higher) is required
- Good computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management ability
- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
