Position Overview A Janitor is responsible for performing custodial services in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Will perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities within the government contract to include both routine maintenance as well as non-routine assignments. Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors
Removing chips, trash, and other refuse;
Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings;
Provide supplies and minor maintenance services; and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Required Education and Experience: Ability to comply with all safety requirements and wear personal protective equipment at all times
Ability to comply with instruction and direction
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Applicant must have the ability to successfully pass a background investigation for both the company as well Government
Must be able to perform physical labor to include lifting and carrying a maximum of 50 lbs
May require a valid drivers license
