Day to Day:
The largest Automotive retailer in the world is looking for ITS Support Specialists / Field Engineer to support 13 dealerships between Anchorage (7), Fairbanks (1) and Seattle (5). This Support Engineer will start their day by reviewing system health reports and addressing any urgent IT issues. They will ensure smooth operation of Windows hardware and software and troubleshoot any Cisco device issues as well. A significant part of the role involves traveling to dealerships within your area to handle on-site issues and prevent potential IT problems. For Seattle support, this individual will also be responsible for airfare travel every 5-6 weeks, with all travel expensed through the company. You will also work on network improvements and preventative maintenance tasks. You'll end your day by documenting work and communicating the day's IT issues and resolutions to stakeholders, with action items to come or that have been completed. This role requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and frequent local travel. The goal is to not just fix IT issues, but to anticipate and prevent them, ensuring system efficiency and security.
