Position Summary: The administrator will be primarily responsible for configuration of the CMDB and Discovery lines of the ServiceNow platform. The administrator will participate in requirement gathering for designing, configuring, and maintaining Discovery as well as resolve discovery errors, work with related SMEs, maintain Discovery schedules and MID servers. The administrator will lead the design and maintenance of the configuration management plan, CMDB structure, perform internal audits, and support ITS teams with the maintenance of configuration items. The administrator will proactively share issues, risks, and opportunities to build competitive edge and efficiencies across the platform in their respective area. Position Responsibilities: Key Areas of Responsibility 1. Mentorship a. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring industry best practices 2. ServiceNow Platform a. Liaison with IT managers b. Executes the determined CMDB processes c. Maintains governance in accordance with CI, product, and service owners d. Manages the CI lifecycle e. Ensuring configuration management activities operate in line with SLA targets f. Review and analyze CMDB reports, configuration management, and metrics g. Proactively seeks improvements by performing health checks h. Validates data accuracy for CMDB i. Collaborates with IT Service Management leadership, service/process owners, delivery teams and ServiceNow admins/developers to configure the CMDB Health preferences j. Design and configure architectural solutions in the ServiceNow Discovery tools of items such as virtual servers, OS level, patch level, database version, routers, switches as well as other discoverable data k. Managing ServiceNow Discovery MID-servers 3. Maintains governance in accordance with product and service owners. a. Ensure all work adheres to standard work, policies, and best practices for development and platform maintenance. b. Maintains compliance with system policies regarding sensitive data. Working Relationships: This Job Reports To (Job Title):ITS ServiceNow Platform Director Nature of Supervision o Internal: HHC Staff, IT Technical, Application and Security Teams o External: Vendors Requirements and Specifications: Education Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HealthCare Management, Business Administration, or related field. Extensive experience may substitute for education. Experience Minimum: Five (5) years' progressive experience on the ServiceNow Platform Preferred: Five (5) or more years' progressive experience on the ServiceNow Platform Licensure, Certification, Registration Minimum: o ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) o ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialists (CIS) Discovery Preferred: o ITIL o ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) o ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialists (CIS) Discovery o CMDB Fundamentals Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: ITIL CDSM Knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, MID Server Architecture, Probes, Sensors, Identifiers & Business rules Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure, IP ranges, and cloud environments Configuration Management CMDB Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB governance processes, procedures, policies, and related documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Good communication, written and documentation skills to gather requirements from customers, process owners and cross platform teams Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information We take great care of careers.
