Job Function & Responsibilities - We are seeking a talented and self-motivated IT Intern to join our growing IT team
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PC hardware and software
- Actively seek out and participate in projects to maintain and improve the systems/network environment
- Create and maintain standard PC images for multiple workstation models
- Process, monitor and prioritize trouble tickets
- Troubleshoot basic TCP/IP issues
- Assist in managing and maintaining technology inventory
- Install and monitor antivirus software
- Support other key initiatives as the business dictates
- This is a paid internship
- The applicant will have the opportunity to work at least 20 hours, but no more than 30 hours per week year-round
- We are not seeking summer interns
Location - Intern must be a US citizen
- Individual must live in the Chicagoland area and be able to commute daily to the XR Trading Chicago Office: 550 W Jackson Blvd Suite 1000 Chicago, IL 60661
Education - Working towards a bachelor's degree in a technical area such as computer science or information science within commutable distance from Chicago Loop
Required Experience & Skills - Desire to work and learn in a fast-paced agile environment
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, Node.js or other scripting languages
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A self-motivated personality
