The IT Technician - Summer Assistant will provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with IT projects, and potentially learn about different IT systems and processes. This is a temporary position.
Job Responsibilities- Provide Technical Support: Answer user questions, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and assist with basic IT tasks.
- Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- IT Projects: Assist with IT projects, such as software upgrades, hardware deployments, or network configurations.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware and software.
- Documentation: Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to users, both internal and external.
- Learning and Development: Gain practical experience in various IT areas, such as networking, software, or hardware.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Working towards an associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Some experience with IT support or related fields is a plus.
- Microsoft, A+, and/or Network+ certifications are a plus.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
