JOB PURPOSE:

This position is open to undergraduate students.

Interested in tech but not a total expert? No problem-if you're dependable, curious, and like helping others, we'll teach you the rest.

Work at the Graduate School campus to support students, staff, and faculty with classroom technology-like projectors, microphones, and Zoom. You'll assist with multimedia assignments and learn alongside educational technologists, with chances to explore tools like AI, 360-degree video, 3D printing, and virtual reality. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are key. Customer service, AV tech, or video production experience is a plus-but we'll train you either way.

In this role, you'll develop crucial career readiness competencies and depending on specific project assignments, may enhance various skills, including:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Grad School IT Technician works closely with faculty, staff, and students to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues with classroom computer systems, institutional computers, and educational software, both in person and over the phone.

Additionally, the Grad School IT Technician will assist in creating written and video how-to documentation, assists with record keeping, and researching and exploring emerging educational technology. This includes the opportunity to work on various technology-related projects.

Projects that students have worked on in the past have included video production, virtual reality, 360 video, drone aerial surveying, website development, and 3D printing.

SCHEDULE:

Hours depend on staffing needs and availability. Shifts available from 9:00 AM - 7PM Monday- Friday. Saturday availability.

RATE OF PAY:

Current OR minimum wage
