IT Technician

Compensation: $25-$28 DOE

VPI Compounding Pharmacy, a leading provider of personalized medication solutions, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will work closely with our IT Team to support essential operations across the organization. You will assist with IT hardware setup and troubleshooting, user permissions management, internal portal support, inventory tracking, and HIPAA compliance. Key Responsibilities

User Permissions Management
  • Assist in assigning and updating user access rights across various systems under supervision.
  • Ensure users are granted access to systems based on company policies.
IT Hardware & Inventory Management
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot IT hardware, including computers, printers, mobile devices, and networking equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
  • Assist in the procurement and decommissioning of IT assets.
Internal Portal Support
  • Help the DevOps team maintain and enhance the internal portal.
  • Assist in troubleshooting user issues and implementing minor improvements based on user feedback.
HIPAA Compliance & Security
  • Support the implementation of security protocols to protect electronic protected health information (ePHI).
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with the IT Team on daily technical operations and projects.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees across departments.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Basic experience with IT hardware, including setup and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with Modbus and BACnet is a plus but not required.

  • Basic technical proficiency with IT hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and across departments.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to sit or work at a computer for extended periods
  • Must be comfortable working on your feet for portions of the day
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25+ lbs
  • Occasional bending, stooping, or climbing may be needed for hardware setup or maintenance
