Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking an IT Technician in partnership with a prominent client in the Binghamton area within the Manufacturing field. Responsible for resolving technical issues, managing system installations, maintaining desktop infrastructure, and providing remote and onsite user support across various hardware and software platforms.

Pay: $55K - 63K
IT Tech Job Responsibilities:
- Set up, configure, and maintain hardware and software on desktops, laptops, and related devices.
- Implement system adjustments and support updates within multiple operating environments.
- Identify and resolve issues related to computers, peripherals, and connected systems.
- Support local and remote users with device, application, and printer troubleshooting.
- Plan and complete the rollout of enterprise system upgrades and device replacements.
- Install software and perform imaging for workstations using standardized configurations.
- Provide informal instruction and technical guidance to end-users as needed.
- Log, track, and resolve service requests using the internal IT support platform.
- Evaluate IT hardware and software products and make recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure systems remain secure and reliable.
- Be available for extended or flexible hours in support of 24/7 operations, including occasional weekends or after-hours work.
- Support other IT initiatives or special projects as assigned.
IT Tech Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/ Equivalent.
- Associate degree in computer-related field preferred.
- A+ or Network+ certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 11 Pro and Windows Server .
- Experience with Microsoft 365, MS Office applications, and database platforms such as MSQL or MySQL.
- Hands-on knowledge of VMWare, Hyper-V, and various backup/recovery tools.
- Working knowledge of antivirus platforms and endpoint protection solutions.
- Comfortable using remote assistance tools such as Remote Desktop or GoToAssist.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line tools is a plus.
- Experience with Cisco IOS and Cisco Meraki networking equipment preferred.
- Able to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
