Riverpoint Medical in Northeast Portland is hiring an IT Technician I. At Riverpoint you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental and Veterinary markets. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies. The IT Technician Level 1 is responsible for providing first-level technical support to end-users, maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services within the organization

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to user requests via a support ticket system, phone, or email to resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of computers, peripherals, and network hardware to ensure they are fully operational and up to date.
  • Install and configure new hardware and software, including operating systems and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory of IT assets.
  • Provide basic training to users on the use of hardware and software.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or working towards it; Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.\Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a good understanding of computer systems and networks.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
