Our client is looking for a part-time IT Systems Support professional to work Tuesday-Thursday on-site in Houston.
Key Responsibilities: - Provides system and software maintenance support, training, auditing, and updating.
- Strong PC/Server hardware and software installation and troubleshooting skills
- Troubleshoots and resolves immediate and moderately complex hardware and software problems, Ability to work independently with limited supervision is a must, as well as work in a team environment
- Identifies bugs or other requests for software content/usage.
- Communicates updates to users that have been or may be affected by a problem and follows up with users after problems have been resolved.
- Uses Jira Help Desk tracking software to present recommendations and improvements for user systems.
- Provides management with the best practices regarding support, security, and software implementation.
- Ensures response times are quick and effective to appropriately resolve requests.
- Coordinates referrals to technical, professional, or service personnel depending on the repair, training, service or software issue, as needed.
- Responsible for developing and following documented IT procedures.
- May act as a trainer for employees in need of IT-related assistance.
Qualifications: - Previous experience supporting C-Level executives.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree.
- 5-7 years of relevant IT experience is required.
- Working knowledge of PC/Server hardware and software installation.
- Knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking.
- Experience with M365 and other software as a service (SaaS) and other software hosting protocols.
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications a plus.
- Ability to foster teamwork.
- Decision-making skills.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
- Technical expertise.
