Description SRC is on contract supporting the 616 Air Force Operation's Center (OC) and other Air Force and national mission partners. The mission of the 616 OC is to conduct data link operations to support Air Force initiatives that enable and enhance National-Tactical Information-Operations with capabilities including integration, testing, training, and TTP development of C2 & ISR common & tactical data link (CDL/TDL) systems. We are additionally responsible for planning, designing, and operating Tactical Data Systems (TDS), networks, and architectures supporting Link 16, AF-DCGS, AF-NTI, and 16 AF operations. SRC is seeking an individual who has relevant programming experience to assist with the modernization and integration of new technologies and working with customers to understand and implement new system requirements. The selectee will serve as a Software Developer, working with a diverse group of operations researchers, computer scientists, engineers and mathematicians in pursuit of this mission. Additionally, knowledge of networking, cloud architecture and data flow management is desired. Other responsibilities include coordination and collaboration with IC organizations to achieve effective technology solutions; as well as engagement and collaboration with customer, developers, and mission/trade-craft experts. Requirements Five years' experience in software development including, software development, requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution Three years' experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C , J2EEE At least three years' experience in programming and development of application software for complex systems and software testing Experience with performance tuning and optimization of service-based framework infrastructure and services Background in developing batch and streaming analytics, data processing pipelines Experience in a Unix/Linux environment Knowledge and experience with full software development lifecycle Desired Skills Experience with OOP, SOA, design pattern, multi-threading Experience with streaming technologies such as Apache Software products Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Jira, GIT, Gradle and Maven Understanding of geo spatial data files, formats, and web mapping standards and conventions Capability to be a self-starter and self-motivated and responsive to direction Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL WITH CI POLY ELIGIBILITY Travel Requirements 5% travel About Us Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
