Title: IT Systems Engineer Job Family: Information Technology (IT) Reports to: Infrastructure and Security Administrator Works with: All Departments and vendors departments as required. Location: Coachella, California USA Type: Full Time Job Summary The IT Systems Engineer role at Armtec will assist the operating unit in areas of network design and architecture, account and group policy management, virtualization, installation and configuration of applications, system administrator, patching/update management, documentation and general IT support. This role will:
- Provide level 1 and level 2 tiered IT Support for users, using Armtec's IT HelpDesk system.
- Be competent in the identification and resolution of issues with hardware, software, peripherals, mobile devices and other supported systems and services.
- Perform STIG documentation for system IT inventory asset management.
- Participate in network design calls and perform functions to execute approved technical change requests.
- Create and maintain Armtec Knowledge Base articles and accurately record ticket resolutions.
- Support the organizational vision and mission of the Armtec team.
- Support infrastructure operability in all Armtec data centers and extended infrastructure throughout all plants, including uptime of servers, switches, and communication infrastructure
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage ticket workload influx with backlog to ensure Armtec users are operating efficiently as possible with working IT equipment.
- Follow Armtec IT policies and procedures to perform tasks designated by the Infrastructure and Security Administrator.
Required Technical Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration and Windows Server platforms.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Strong virtualization experience with Hyper-V.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure/Entra and hybrid domain joined environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft's Intune MDM solution.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience developing services or service desk solutions.
- Understanding of service and application delivery.
- Experience working within a matrix team.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and communication services.
- Highly customer focused with the ability to develop solid relationships at all levels within the organization.
- Proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentations and working effectively with peers.
- Advocate of standards and process improvement.
- Operate with a methodical and patient approach when working multiple projects or tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Reactive when required to resolving issues either by telephone or by working alongside users and suppliers.

- Bachelor's Degree in relevant IT discipline (i.e., cybersecurity or computer science).
- 2-3 Years experience in IT infrastructure related role.
- Cyber Security Certifications a plus.
- Fortinet Certified Professional certification a plus.
- ITIL Certification a plus.
- MS Office Skills (Excel & Word) required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
