The Systems Architect will manage daily operational activities and project initiatives including enterprise applications, network, servers, storage databases and backups across the enterprise. This position is located at our corporate headquarters overlooking the waters of Tampa Bay.
Responsibilities - Lead the planning, creation, and management of architecture design/standards for all technology infrastructure
- Instill operational excellence through maintenance, monitoring, and high availability for business critical production systems
- Identify opportunities for new and/or repositioned capabilities and solutions
- Provide business case for adopting new technology/processes, and lead efforts to validate with proof of concept(s)
- Maintain awareness of business issues and needed capabilities, aligning with existing/new industry technologies
- Establish strong relationships with key technology stakeholders and provide senior level technical guidance across engineering and development teams
- Ensure technical direction of infrastructure solutions are secure, and in alignment with enterprise business strategy
- Participate in application or infrastructure implementation projects to ensure the design conforms to the technical architecture and standards, and/or modify/extend the technical architecture when necessary to accommodate project needs
- Provide mentoring, training, and guidance to Systems Administrators/Systems Engineers
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with vendors, customers, and other IS personnel for problem resolutions
Qualifications - Advanced Linux (primarily Red Hat and Ubuntu distros) administration and scripting; including high familiarity with Postfix and Bind
- Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Storage
- Strong understanding of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)
- Strong understanding of DMARC (DKIM / SPF)
- MS Exchange (on-premise) administration
- Supporting hybrid-cloud architecture
- vSphere (on-premise) administration
- Ability to travel to data centers and provide urgent response to system outages as needed
