A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR INTERN - Start with a team meeting to discuss ongoing projects and daily tasks.
- Assist in installing and configuring PC, server, and network hardware.
- Support the IT team in monitoring and addressing any issues that arise.
- Document technology configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving computer and network-related issues.
- Collaborate with team members on upgrades and optimization projects.
- Engage with experienced IT professionals.
- Review the day's accomplishments and prepare for the next day's tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR INTERN - Education: Currently pursuing a degree in IT, System Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Skills: Familiarity with technology hardware (servers, routers, switches, firewalls) and associated software, Windows operating systems, and hardware virtualization technologies.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
WORK SCHEDULE As a summer IT Systems Administrator Intern at Bone & Joint, your work schedule will typically be 30-35 hours per week during regular business hours for roughly 12 weeks. This usually means working Monday through Friday, from around 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. However, specific hours will vary depending on needs and any special projects or tasks that arise. You will need reliable transportation with the ability to travel to remote sites on occasion.
