Position Summary

The IT Systems Administrator's primary responsibility is to develop, enhance, maintain, and monitor the Bank's network and application infrastructure. This includes systems analysis, purchasing and provisioning, implementation and deployment, upgrades, and providing technical and administrative support. The position will work closely with other IT and IS team members and Bank staff to insure the reliability, security, and efficiency of the Bank's network, applications, printers, phones, and other systems and platforms.

Essential Duties
  • Manage the integrity of the Bank's network infrastructure to ensure equipment and software work appropriately and effectively. Manage the Bank's network diagrams, both internal and external.
  • Work with third party vendors and internal staff to resolve application and hardware issues. Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting. Test fixes and follow up with staff to ensure problem has been adequately resolved. Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Take ownership of internal and external customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution, including follow-up and documentation.
  • Communicate and report any banking system downtime or scheduled maintenance to the appropriate staff. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers and provide continuous status information to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the development and implementation of IT/IS desk procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision. Where applicable create workflow and process documents.
  • Mentor and coordinate the work of the IT/IS Support team to manage workloads and foster career growth of team members. Help answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and in person requests. Help set up user accounts, permissions and passwords, install, troubleshoot, and repair hardware, software, printers, phones, and AV equipment.
  • Manage the Banks ticketing system and staff adhering to the expected IT/IS SLA requirements. Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.
  • Provide training and education services to staff for certain systems or applications and performs new-hire IT/IS orientation.?Develop help sheets and knowledge base articles for end users.
  • Keep current with latest technologies and update job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks and participating in professional work groups and organizations.
  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with the Bank's Mission, Vision and Core Values, and provide the Bank's customers with exceptional service in accordance with the Bank's customer service standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or similar preferred.
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Financial industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability, effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to project management principles
  • Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
  • Hardware troubleshooting such as printers, workstations, phones, etc.
  • Application support
  • Management and configuration of network routers, switches, and firewalls
  • VMWare virtual environment platform
  • Veeam backup software
  • SQL Report Builder platform
  • Writing and modifying queries for reporting purposes
  • Banking policies and regulatory requirements
  • Banking core systems and applications (preferred)
  • Project management principles
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds (and potentially up to 30 pounds)
  • Constant vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Frequent sitting, use of hands, and ability to speak and hear
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
  • Preferred Certificates:
  • MCSE, MCSA, CompTIA network+, and CompTIA security+.

Salary Description

$100,000 - $120,000 per year
