A growing client located in Columbus is seeking an IT Systems Admin. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations, ensuring they are running efficiently and securely.
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure robust and secure connectivity.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and data protection, to safeguard the company's IT assets.
- Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and security compliance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to support ongoing operations and future upgrades.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, with a strong background in server and network management.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and network management tools.
- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, security best practices, and troubleshooting methodologies.
