Job Title: Hospital IT System Administrator We are
seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to
join our dynamic TEAM. In
this role,
you will focus on managing and maintaining the technology infrastructure across multiple healthcare facilities, ensuring smooth operation of critical systems, protecting sensitive patient data, and providing technical support to staff while adhering to strict healthcare compliance regulations; key responsibilities include network administration, system implementation, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, data security, user training, and collaborating with clinical teams to optimize technology usage across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, applications, and network infrastructure across multiple facilities.
Managing server infrastructure, including backups, disaster recovery plans, and performance monitoring.
Overseeing network security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls.
Technical Support: Responding to user support requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues for clinical and administrative staff across facilities.
Providing remote and on-site technical assistance for system access and troubleshooting.
Managing user accounts and permissions across multiple systems.
Project Implementation: Participating in the planning and execution of technology upgrades, new system deployments, and system migrations across facilities.
Collaborating with Corporate Leadership to assess needs, design system workflows, and conduct user training.
Data Security and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and other healthcare data privacy standards.
Monitoring system activity for potential security breaches and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Managing data access controls and user privileges across facilities.
Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports on system performance, utilization, and security metrics.
Identifying trends and potential issues to proactively address system challenges.
Vendor Management: Managing relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and coordinating maintenance activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications: - Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
- Expertise in server administration, virtualization technologies, and database management.
- Proficiency in healthcare specific applications like Electronic Health Records (EHR), practice management systems, and imaging systems.
- Knowledge of data security best practices and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple facilities.
