Description
We are seeking a dedicated Entry-Level IT Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the technological systems of our company to ensure all employees have the proper working resources they need. Your duties will include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all new computer systems and software programs are installed and functioning correctly. Must be able to travel between different locations as needed.

- Have the ability to travel to and work on site at the work at both Berkeley Heights YMCA and Summit YMCA branches
Salary & Benefits: The salary for this position starts at $20.00/ hour, and is based on experience. This position is part time with the ability to work up to 25 hours each week. The Summit Area YMCA offers generous employee benefits. Responsibilities: - Diagnose and resolve hardware issues on desktops, laptops, servers, and other IT equipment.
- Add/update/remove users from Microsoft 365
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT processes.
- Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and configurations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of hardware to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform regular updates and maintenance tasks on organization systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding hardware-related inquiries and issues.
- Document hardware issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware for employees and clients.
- Keep an updated inventory on all the hardware.
- Stay updated with the latest hardware technologies and industry trends.

Requirements
- A minimum of an Associates degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated technical experience, a background in computer science.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize task effectively.
- Highly organized with the ability to self-direct, work independently on assigned tasks, multi-task and manage several projects at once.
