Description

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

The IT Support Technician will provide IT technical support and assistance to The Arc's employees in-person, virtually, and via our Zendesk support ticket system. The IT Support Technician will support the building and troubleshooting of business devices such as laptops, iPads, peripherals, conference room equipment, and third-party VoIP phone systems. This position will include in-person interaction with all employees and some people with disabilities who we support, and will require travel to all office and program locations in Anne Arundel County and Maryland's Eastern Shore as necessary to provide IT support.

IT Support Technicians are expected to respond to all IT support tickets and inquiries with a high level of concierge-style customer service. Resetting network connections and application passwords, supporting build requests, service issues, and end-user connectivity issues is all in a day's work for this position. You will remotely install and resolve software issues, build laptops and iPads to have Office 365 functionality, and support all other initiatives and projects around IT systems, devices, and best practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, use their strong communication and interpersonal skills to support end-users, and have an expert knowledge of Microsoft applications in order to support end-users with varying levels of technical acuity.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of (3) three years' business systems implementation experience, though a bachelor's degree in business or technology is strongly preferred and CompTIA A+ may be used in lieu of (2) two years of experience.
