IT Support Technician and become a vital part of keeping our systems running smoothly. You'll provide front-line technical support to county employees, tackling everything from hardware hiccups to software snags and network glitches. No two days are the same-and that's just how we like it.
Key Responsibilities - Respond to help desk requests, providing technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and escalate more complex issues as needed.
- Support system updates, software installations, and patches under the supervision of senior IT staff.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts, passwords, and security settings.
- Document IT support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps.
- Maintain inventory records of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Provide basic training and guidance to employees on using IT systems and best practices.
- Assist in monitoring cybersecurity risks and reporting potential security concerns.
- Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications - Associate's degree or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-2 years of IT support experience (internships or school projects are a plus).
- Basic knowledge of Windows systems, Microsoft Office 365, and network fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of basic IT security best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
