We're currently seeking an IT Support Tech to join our team in Minneapolis, MN.

The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for various IT equipment and systems. This role involves working with people both in the office and in the field, troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal equipment operation and security. The technician will collaborate closely with Mister store staff, other technicians, facilities, and the broader IT team to deliver high-quality service.

What you will do:

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with equipment and systems, both remotely and on-site.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to Mister staff and internal teams.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and correct hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or subject matter experts as needed.
Maintenance and Repairs:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems according to company standards.
  • Conduct field visits to sites to service and repair equipment regularly.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and documented accurately.
  • Test equipment and systems post-repair to ensure proper functionality.
Installation and Setup:
  • Assist with installing, setting up, and configuring new equipment and systems at stores or offices.
  • Provide Mister staff with training and support on using newly installed equipment.
  • Ensure that installations comply with company standards.
Customer Interaction:
  • Communicate effectively with Mister staff to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Provide updates to Mister staff on the status of issues.
  • Coordinate with other teams, such as facilities, and keep senior management informed of the status of issues and solutions.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and professional service.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Complete trip reports and documentation for all work performed.
  • Create documentation and user guides.
  • Provide feedback to the service center team on recurring issues or potential improvements.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on new technologies and best practices.
How will you shine:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and maintenance equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to travel to Mister sites as required, sometimes on short notice.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Weekend & On-Call work is required.
  • Up to 25% of travel is required both in and out of the home region; sometimes, overnight stays are required.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs, including weekends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
