Pay Range: $18/hr - $22/hr

Temporary job through the Summer.

Summary: The primary focus of this position is to provide first level technical support to all organizational units of GA Richards Group. As an IT Support Technician you'll work directly with users to diagnose and remedy their IT related problems. This position will utilize an internal IT support system to help organize and prioritize the workload. It will also be the responsibility of this employee to help research and implement systems needs as directed by the supervisor. Position requires a high level of interaction with internal customers. Position also requires the ability to travel to remote locations and work extended/off hours when deemed necessary. Will be given guidance on project work and will follow defined departmental policies and procedures. This position will report directly to the IT Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Setup of new workstations, laptops, networking hardware, phones, printers, etc.

Will assist with Active Directory, Google Workspace, and other user management tasks.

Will assist with installation and support of Applications

Will assist with performing preventative maintenance to PC's and Servers

The repair of old workstations, laptops, networking hardware, phones, printers, etc.

Experience in Windows OS environment. PC/Server Versions Legacy through Current

Familiarity with Networking Fundamentals (Cisco knowledge is a plus).

Experience with email systems (Google Workspace, Exchange, Email Clients/Protocols)

Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Docs, and/or other office computing tools

Restore lost or damaged files

Clean virus, spyware infected computer equipment

Work with vendors to repair/replace/return computer equipment

Train new employees on IT procedures and processes

Work with the team to create and maintain documentation

Assist with researching of new technologies to contribute to the improvement of business processes

Respond to email and phone calls regarding desktop and help desk requests from end users

Must have excellent character and work ethic

Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have own transportation

Must read and speak fluent English

Base knowledge of networking fundamentals
