Position: IT Support Technician

Duration: 2-3 Months Contract to Hire

Location: Calumet City, IL USA

Skillset/Qualifications:
  • Generalist experience in IT.
  • Comfortable working with Active Directory, Office 365 stack, Cisco, and Linux.
  • Familiar with various security tools and SaaS platforms (e.g., Canva).
  • Ability to configure switch networks and Cisco network stacks.
  • Experience in network admin tasks such as configuring Active Directory, Exchange, and making third-party enterprise apps work.
  • Must have security training and basic security knowledge in areas such as identity management.
  • The role will involve on-site support (hands-on) at the building.
  • The technician will help employees with connectivity issues and handle ZoomInfo support, printing, networking, and typical office tech support.
  • Candidate should be able to quickly adapt to new systems and be flexible with their tasks.
  • Candidate should be comfortable supporting a hybrid work model and handling high turnover and onboarding/offboarding processes.
Tools & Platforms:
  • Unified network platforms: Intune managed and support for Android phones.
  • Experience with common office tools and SaaS products.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
  • Primary contact for IT support at assigned facility
  • Requires vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Cannot work remotely; must be on-site
  • Works closely with IT teams (System Admins, Engineers)
  • 37.5-hour workweek (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Occasional after-hours work compensated with comp time
Day-to-day tasks include:
  • Managing and resolving tickets from a queue
  • Prioritizing and classifying ticket requests
  • New hire onboarding (setting up accounts, login assistance)
  • Performing scheduled upgrades and maintenance
  • Coordinating with facility staff to ensure smooth IT support
