Position Summary

The position plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of company-wide IT systems. This hands-on role requires a proactive problem solver who can provide technical support, manage user accounts and devices, and assist in maintaining critical business infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly energetic, and passionate about delivering excellent service in a dynamic manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote end-user support for technical issues involving systems, hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Administer and support user devices including laptops, printers, barcode scanners, and related peripherals.
  • Handle system access requests, including the creation and deactivation of user accounts.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows-based workstations and mobile computing devices.
  • Support network functionality including Wi-Fi connectivity, basic cabling issues, and device configuration.
  • Assist with system monitoring, data backups, software updates, and security patching.
  • Participate in vendor interactions for hardware/software procurement and support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to install, upgrade, or replace IT systems and tools.
  • Document technical procedures and support activity logs accurately and consistently.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and IT best practices relevant to the business.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional IT support experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Windows Server, and Active Directory management.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Comfortable working in a physically active environment with varying responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, IT documentation, and inventory tracking.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA) and prior experience in a manufacturing environment are considered strong assets.
