Position Summary
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a
full-time position for an IT Support Tech 1 who will be responsible for
providing daily support, basic problem-solving and assistance with various
software applications and hardware systems for the department. This position
provides individual instruction and support to users on new or updated
technologies. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Provide
Technical Support: Offering assistance, troubleshooting and resolving
issues related to equipment, software applications, hardware systems, and
network problems for department users. - Inventory
Tracking: Coordinate inventory levels of equipment and materials,
performing data entry and maintaining records in FAMIS and other systems. - Technology
Evaluation: Assist in the review, evaluation, and recommendation of
hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates to improve
efficiency and effectiveness. - Equipment
Maintenance and Installation: Participate in the installation,
configuration, and maintenance of computers, workstations, and other
related equipment and devices for department users. - Website
and Intranet: Provide basic support for the department website and
intranet pages. - Other
equipment, software and technical related requests, as needed.
OB-GYN Department work hours are Monday-Friday from
8:00am-5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's
degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related
field preferred. - Previous
experience in IT support or a related role is an advantage. - Strong
problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent
communication and interpersonal abilities to provide effective technical
assistance and training. - Familiarity
with various software applications, hardware systems, and network
environments. - Ability
to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented
environment. - Detail-oriented
and capable of maintaining accurate records and documentation. - Adaptability
and willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with ticketing systems
- Basic
troubleshooting skills for Windows, macOS, and other programs. - Experience
with Active Directory (user account creation, password resets, group
policy management). - Familiarity
with Microsoft 365, Cerner, RedCap and other similar productivity suites. - Knowledge
of basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VPNs). - Understanding
of hardware components and peripherals (printers, scanners, faxing,
monitors). - Experience
with remote desktop tools (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom, TigerText, etc.). - Ability
to install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications.
