Job Summary: The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to employees across our 3PL facilities. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems critical to logistics and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to end users on-site and remotely, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and other logistics-related applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Assist with the setup and support of warehouse technologies, including barcode scanners, label printers, and RF devices.
- Monitor and support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches to ensure IT systems remain secure and operational.
- Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with IT team members to deploy and support new technology initiatives.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within company systems.
- Provide basic cybersecurity awareness training and ensure adherence to IT security policies.
- Respond to IT support tickets in a timely manner and track issues to resolution.
- Support remote workers with VPN access, cloud services, and other connectivity needs.
Qualifications & Experience: - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with WMS, ERP systems, and logistics-related applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and IT security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Certifications: - CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and transport IT equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
- Ability to travel between facilities as needed.
