Metro PT has an immediate opening for a
full-time IT Support Specialist who is interested in working for a growing, dynamic healthcare company. They will work cross-functionally and will be responsible for building and maintaining desktop systems and supporting system software. This will include Mac and Windows PC/laptops, printers, and mobile devices. The ideal candidate will be a positive and supportive member of the IT function, a self-starter, is technically innovative and loves the challenge of solving problems and building solutions to help the company scale.
This person has a "get stuff done", customer service focused mindset. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with high energy, someone who thrives in a tight-knit and fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role with room for growth.
This position will be based out of our HQ in Garden City, NY, with 40-50% local travel required. Must have reliable mode of tranportation to travel between locations.Essential Functions: Networking
- Assists in monitoring the Meraki networking environment and providing first level support for any reported or identified issues.
- Install Meraki networking equipment in new clinics.
- Replace Meraki networking equipment during hardware refreshes or as required.
- Provide first level for any connectivity related issues, including working with various ISPs.
Support
- Provides first level support to end-user technology requests via email, phone, and face to face interactions.
- Complete assigned requests and incidents based on a ticketing system in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support for workstations, laptops, printers, computer peripherals, mobile devices, including both Windows and Mac Operating Systems.
- Provide support for enterprise applications and cloud-based services.
- Provide technical support for meetings, events, and presentations as needed.
- Ability to solve technical and system issues with little to no supervision.
Asset Management
- Follow company IT Asset Management procedures for the purchasing, receiving, deploying, supporting, and decommissioning of company technology assets.
- Configure and deploy IT assets to new users.
Travel
- Travel between local clinics local (and non-local as necessary).
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Min. 2 years of desktop end-user hardware support experience. Bonus points for experience within a healthcare organization.
- Ability to solve technical and system issues with little to no supervision.
- A team player who brings positive energy and experience to a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows 10/11, Mac OS, and iOS platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of the MS365 platform.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and priorities for project time management with little supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels (i.e., Executives and High-Touch Specialty Departments)
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve customer computer related issues.
- Self-motivated individual with desire to enhance their knowledge and continually develop their skillset.
- Understanding of current technologies and best practices in the information technology industry.
- Solution driven.
- Project Management experience is a huge plus.
- IT Certifications are a plus
- Must possess a valid and clean NY driver's license, and reliable transporation to travel between Metro locations as needed.
Salary Description
$70,000-$80,000
