Tolerance Masters Inc is a precision machine shop located in Circle Pines, MN. We specialize in the manufacturing of close tolerance flight safety and critical performance machined parts and sub-assemblies. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. The IT Support Specialist is the go-to person for technical support across the company. This role provides hands-on assistance with desktop systems, software, network connections, and other critical tools that support both the front office and production floor. You'll keep our systems running so the machines can keep cutting. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide first-level technical support for users (hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues) Troubleshoot Windows-based PCs, printers, mobile devices, and common office software Maintain and support Office 365 accounts email and file sharing Set up and configure new user workstations, user accounts, and system access Assist with basic network maintenance and troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, cabling, switches) Support manufacturing systems such as ERP/MRP software (e.g., JobBOSS, ProShop, Epicor) Assist with CNC machine connectivity (DNC systems, shop-floor PCs, wired/wireless connections) Monitor backups and basic security tools (antivirus, Windows updates, etc.) Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage basic documentation Work closely with production, engineering, and admin teams to understand and resolve tech issues REQUIREMENTS Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent experience Solid understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 environment Good troubleshooting and communication skills Comfortable supporting users in both office and shop environments Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) Able to lift/move equipment and work in various parts of the facility PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED Experience in a desktop support/help desk role Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems Knowledge of DNC systems or machine-to-network communication CompTIA A+ or similar IT certifications WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is primarily in a manufacturing environment; moderate to high levels of dirt, noise, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, fumes, chemicals/solvents, and electrical hazards.
