SUMMARY
Under the direction of the IT Operations and Systems Manager, the IT Support Specialist provides frontline technical support for end-users, ensuring efficient operation of hardware, software, and network resources. This role includes helpdesk support, desktop troubleshooting, system maintenance, and assisting with IT projects as needed. The specialist will support both on-site and remote employees, configuring new workstations, maintaining existing systems, and escalating advanced issues to senior IT staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent expertise and knowledge required
Strong knowledge of PC maintenance and Windows operating systems required
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies required
Experience with remote access solutions (RDP, VPN, Citrix, etc.) required
Experience with related software applications such as Microsoft 365 and VMware preferred
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Reliable transportation required
Travel between sites required
Participation in on-call rotation required
Occasional off-hours work required
Cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse patient and staff population
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and multi-task effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
