We are actively seeking an IT Support Specialist at Synergen, located in Bossier City, Louisiana, that would be responsible for participating in coordinating the strategic plan with the development of information systems, provide on-going analysis and planning of information systems, and facilitate the decision making process for changes, upgrades, and new projects to meet business needs.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Promptly identify, investigate, and resolve users' problems with computer software and hardware.
Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns.
Oversight and day-to-day management of the Managed Service Provider (MSP).
Inventory and management of company IT assets.
Collaborate with colleagues and industry resources to research and resolve problems, and propose new, efficient technology.
Arrange services by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.
Research, propose, and project manage digital tools, software applications, hardware, and the processes therein.
Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard systems from threats while educating staff on security best practices.
Advise on overall company strategy and risk advisory as it pertains areas of responsibility.
Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications in Microsoft platforms (such as Azure, MCP) or CCNA are preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
Proficiency in Windows environments with knowledge of network protocols and services.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and other typical software applications.
Proven ability to drive digital transformation, optimize technology platforms, and execute strategic roadmaps that align with business goals.
Skilled at bridging technical strategies and business objectives effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conveying technical concepts to non-technical users.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers for typing. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. May include occasional travel.
