The successful candidate for the position IT Support/Cyber Security Specialist is a professional with technical skills to support users with IT support related tasks as well as managing the company's cyber security requirements. An IT Support/Cyber Security Specialists helps manage corporate cyber security needs as well as solving the average user's hardware and software related issues. This profession combines a love of helping others along with effectively managing the company's security needs.

Duties and Responsibilities - Maintain Cyber security requirements.
- Continued education to stay up to date with the latest security threats and technologies.
- Desktop and device patch management.
- Manage user and server backups.
- Work with users to solve IT related issues such as printer and other minor hardware issues. Resetting passwords and general problem solving.
- Heavy IT Work - help with printer, computer, and portable device installations. Get involved with larger projects when needed. Not afraid to crawl under a desk.
- Occasional nights, weekends and travel may be required.
- Install Multi Factor Authenticators on your personal mobile device.
Skills and Competencies - Strong understanding of network security.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills.
- Familiar with SIEM, EDR and MDR tools.
- Understanding common cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations.
- Excel skills - Basic understanding of Excel so you can help users, update spread sheets and track data.
- PowerBI - Basic understanding.
- Basic Networking. Understand switches and routers.
- PC Hardware structure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to multi-task and determine which projects or tasks need to take precedence over others at a moment's notice.
Knowledge and Education - Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity or other computer related technologies or relevant experience.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in the English language as the primary means of communication with coworkers.
