Experis IT ManpowerGroup has partnered with a leading Medical Device Company in the Abbott Park, IL (Onsite) for a CMDB Administration support role to assist their team. This is an on-site role.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Seek an individual to learn and support the CMDB data updates while grasping how the CMDB is used on a day-by-day basis at Abbott. The CMDB is highly complex with different uses depending on the organization and or the devices.
• Work as liaison to the CMDB customers and Data Stewards ensuring data updates provided are accurate, complete and follow best practices used in the Configuration Management's Center of Excellence
o Requires good communication skills and ability to communicate back-n-forth with the customer until the data is proper.
o Realize new/update data requests routinely have bad data, the CMDB Admin must work directly with the customer to assure they understand exactly what we need to know and why it matters.
o Single point of contact for all CMDB users - globally
o Answer questions regarding data or the ITSM/CMDB system.
o Contact tier 2/3 support when unable to answer question
o Collaborate with customers to support and assist IT initiatives involving CMDB data
o Collaborate with Application Portfolio team ensure Application Health and IT lifecycle is managed. Be able to identify gaps and remediation steps.
• CMDB Data updates
o Can be 1 up to 500+ devices per request
o Entry is via Incident or Service Requests
o Review audit reports and CMDB Health Dashboards. Based on findings reach out to device owners or respective CoE Data Stewards for data remediation.
o Perform updating and removing Application to Infrastructure relationships
o Review, collaborate data corrections and execute mass updates to the CMDB
Will be the only authorized user allowed to the mass import data to the CMDB
o Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the different Configuration (CI) Classes and Attributes per class
o Learn to know the attribute default values to ensure imports and updates maintain CI data accuracy.
o Provide urgent updates to the CMDB data to ensure IT tools are working as expected.
• Gain an understanding of external CMDB data sources. The desired resource won't necessarily support the integration, but needs an understanding of the external data sources
o Be able to provide "plain language" explanations to business customers when data is sourced from one of these other systems.
• Assist with configuration of ServiceNow Discovery schedules
