Description:
Job Requirements:
  • Familiarity with computer Tranmap software, National pipeline mapping system, and county tax/ownership records access.
  • Use of MS office software skills for written communications and to document work progress.
  • Assist with a DOT compliance class location study by completing phase 1 of the study.
  • Phase 1 work scope involves reviewing GIS ESRI pipeline maps, NPMS mapping, aerial imagery, and county property tax databases to identify adjacent structures within 660 feet of our company gas pipelines and to categorize those structures to identify which buildings are likely intended for human occupancy.
Job responsibilities:
  • access several sources of GIS data regarding our gas lines and location proximities to public structures.
  • Analyze the data and validate adjacent structure type, identifying and validating adjacent pipelines for ownership and operating type.
  • Documentation responsibilities include recording GIS coordinates, and type of structure for each pipeline segment.
