Based in the houston area, we are seeking a dynamic IT Security Analyst Consultant to join our team in the Energy industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's information systems. This includes the development and implementation of security measures, monitoring and managing security incidents, and providing technical guidance to ensure the secure operation of the systems.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement security measures to protect information systems and data against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
2. Monitor and manage security incidents, conduct investigations, and produce reports detailing the events and their impact.
3. Provide technical guidance on security issues to IT staff and management.
4. Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and propose measures to mitigate risks.
5. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
6. Conduct security awareness training for staff to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a secure environment.
7. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the secure design and development of applications and systems.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure Active Directory, preferably in the Energy industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security technologies, including Azure Security, Microsoft 365 Security, and Windows Security.
4. Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical staff.
7. Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism.
