West Cecil Health Center (WCHC) is seeking a dedicated IT Support Administrator to join our team.

WCHC is a thriving nonprofit, community health organization that provides comprehensive and collaborative patient centered healthcare services. This position is based in Conowingo.

IT SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Support Administrator position contributes to the successful achievement of West Cecil Health Centers mission by supporting the organizations IT infrastructure through technical support of its network, computers, phone systems, security system, and software. The IT Support Administrator will be responsible for managing the entirety of the organizations IT operation, with minimal oversight.

As a IT Support Administrator, you will support our amazing care team by:

  • Primary contact for all IT security related matters

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, resolves, and implements corrective action procedures for hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate

  • Provides technical support in the use of computer hardware, software, peripherals, VoIP phone systems, security system, burglar system, fire suppression system, and networks

  • Maintains the internal website and other digital marketing sites related to the organization

  • Grants and terminates employee access to the network, software and other related systems

  • Configures employee hardware, including but not limited to, desktop computers, peripherals, phones, and copier/fax machines

  • Inventory and management of hardware, software and licensing

  • Enables and verifies network security safeguards including but not limited to strong cryptology, installing patches and upgrades, blocking access to high-risk websites, lock-out/log-out settings, and enabling security configurations for hardware and software

  • Supports emergency preparedness activities including business continuity planning and data back-ups

  • Destruction and disposal of IT equipment

  • Maintains data transmission and network maps

  • Routinely inspects equipment for tampering or other safety or security risks

  • Routinely audits the network for unusual activity or other security risks, including but not limited to, logs, access reports, and security incident tracking reports

  • Advises on current system capabilities, vulnerabilities, and leading practices for mitigation

  • Inspects new equipment and changing generic vendor-supplied passwords

  • Proactively responding to safety and security alerts generated by the detection software

  • Serves as a resource to leadership for IT strategic planning

  • Maintains positive relationships with outside partners and IT and related vendors

  • Contributes to organizational goals by accomplishing related duties as required

  • Promotes positive working relationships among supervisors, staff, and other departments

  • Implements, communicates and educates on IT related policies and procedures

The IT Support Administrator job might be for you if you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in IT support or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Mac OS and G-suite applications (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, etc.) is highly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to customer service
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and IT processes
