Summary : Vighter is recruiting multiple IT Specialists to provide medical service and medical support within the Customs and Border Protection - Immigration and Customs Enforcement mission, with dozens of locations across the United States' Southern borders, to include California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Florida. The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and managing IT systems both in-office and remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Principle Accountabilities: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees experiencing hardware, software, and network issues, both in-office and remotely. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and networking equipment. Perform system upgrades, updates, and patches to ensure optimal performance and security of IT systems. Monitor and respond to IT support tickets and requests in a timely and efficient manner, documenting resolutions and maintaining accurate records. Collaborate with team members and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues and escalate problems as needed. Conduct regular maintenance and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and availability of IT systems. Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance security and efficiency. Provide training and support to employees on IT systems, applications, and best practices, both in-office and remotely. Manage remote access systems and VPN connections, ensuring secure and reliable access to company resources for remote employees. Provide training and support to remote employees on timekeeping systems and processes, including troubleshooting issues and providing guidance on effective use of timekeeping tools. Stay informed about changes in timekeeping technology, regulations, and best practices, and make recommendations for updates and improvements to timekeeping processes. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills : Must have exceptional customer service skills. Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently. Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience of 4-6 years without a degree. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or related field, with experience supporting both in-office and remote systems. Strong technical skills in hardware, software, and networking, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products and Google products. Experience with remote support tools and remote access solutions (e.g., VPN, remote desktop). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred. Duty Hours / On-call Requirements Generally speaking, the corporate office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; however, during times of rapid mobilization, hours may be extended to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
