Key Requirements

• Some travel may be required ( Approx. 5% Occasional travel to the Capital Region and may support critical incidents ) Major Duties :
GS-13:
• Provides advice and guidance to management regarding technical issues which pertain to the planning, designing, developing, procuring, implementing, operating and maintaining of the organization's IT systems.
• Develop, interpret, plan, and apply policy and process best practices in the delivery of enterprise-wide, multi-discipline IT network service capacity and performance monitoring.
• Work with myriad customers to develop sustainable strategic plans and tactical, technical solutions for executing effective and efficient network-related problem management. GS-14 In addition to the above:
• Autonomously coordinates with internal and external partners to plan and implement IT infrastructure.
• Provides technical guidance to junior IT staff members
• Orally briefs technical and decision briefs to FBI management on complex issues.
• Provides technical budget preparation and interfaces between the technical experts and budget personnel to ensure all requirements are funded.
• Provide advice and guidance to management regarding technical issues which pertain to the planning, designing, developing, procuring, implementing, operating and maintaining of the organization's IT systems. Qualifications and Evaluations

GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
• Experience in technology management, problem solving, and implementation of related activities.
• Provide advice and guidance to management regarding technical issues which pertain to the planning, designing, developing, procuring, implementing, operating and maintaining of the organization's IT systems
• Experience in writing and reviewing software and scripts in an infrastructure-as-code environment as well as scaling scripts and applications. GS-14: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
In addition to above:
• Experience with IT system management including managing systems hosted on Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS or advanced experience with data automation techniques including scripting and database management.
• Experience coordinating major IT system changes with external enterprise partners.
• Experience in coordinating and implementing IT system security processes.
• Experience in writing and reviewing software and scripts in an infrastructure-as-code environment as well as experience in scaling scripts and applications. How to Apply
