The Information Technology (ITD) Department at Holyoke Community College (HCC) is seeking interns for a8-12-week period.Interns will support a variety of IT tasks and projects designed to prepare the college for the upcoming Fall semester and to assist students, faculty, and staff with their technology needs.This IT Internship is for up to 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, max), to be scheduled between the hours of 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Hours are flexible according to availability, but set shifts per week are desired.
Under the general supervision of the Director of IT Services, Internship offers experiential learning opportunities including:
Basic troubleshooting and repair of configuration issues on college-owned devices.Assisting IT Services staff in configuring and installing/replacing classroom equipment.Assisting students with password resets, initial login and multi-factor authentication. Troubleshooting student technology problems in person, over the phone or via email.Direct end-user support during Accepted Students Days and Registration Express events.Maintaining and responding to request submitted to the Help Desk.Performing general service calls throughout the campus when needed.Working with Infrastructure team on tasks, as opportunity allows.Other tasks as required by the Intern Supervisor.Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma;
- Familiarity with Google Workspace apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.), Microsoft 365;
- On-time attendance;
- Eagerness to learn;
- Provide own transportation to campus.
