IT Senior Engineer (MSP) - Managed Services Manhattan, NY
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 + Bonuses
On-site Full-Time MSP Experience Required
Are you a highly skilled IT professional with deep experience in cloud, virtualization, and infrastructure support within a Managed Services environment? We're looking for a Senior Engineer to lead complex technical escalations, drive IT automation, and provide strategic infrastructure guidance to a growing base of SMB clients.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer ready to take ownership of technical excellence in a fast-paced, client-first MSP setting.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Act as the technical point of escalation for all infrastructure-related outages and critical support issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system failures involving Azure, VMware, Windows Server, and Office 365
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution for high-impact issues
- Coach and mentor Tier 1 and 2 engineers on troubleshooting techniques and technical best practices
- Maintain awareness of SLA targets and deliver support that exceeds client expectations
- Recommend and implement automation to streamline support and reduce ticket volume
- Manage firewall configurations and troubleshooting (SonicWall preferred)
- Maintain system documentation via IT Glue and assist in standardization of processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve service delivery and technical operations
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to proactive monitoring and infrastructure improvements
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven experience in an MSP environment supporting small to mid-sized businesses
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments
- Strong experience with VMware, Windows Server (AD, GPO), and Office 365 (Exchange management)
- Familiarity with SonicWall firewalls and network troubleshooting concepts
- Comfort working across multiple environments and industries
- Ability to identify opportunities for automation and scripting to reduce manual workloads
- A client-first approach and strong communication skills-able to translate tech into business impact
