Position Function:

Oversees and provides analytical expertise and support on loan application related responsibilities, functions, and process improvement initiatives. Works directly with Management/SMEs, Core common file owners, Product Management, and related service departments to ensure internal processes, change controls & functions align to system capabilities and benefits, including third party systems/applications residing within the various loan areas. Ability to perform analysis of considerable complexity and scope, able to work independently on assignments.

Primary Accountabilities:

Systems Analysis and Support:

Translate user requests and requirements into specifications for vendors and collaborate with the requestor and affected business units to ensure the accuracy of the vendor proposals.

Identify IT options for potential solutions while assessing both technical and business functionality.

Write and submit proposals for modifying existing IT systems.

Work with vendors and end-users to ensure technical compatibility.

Create, update and review project plans and test schedules for new systems, system upgrades and application testing with users and vendors to monitor resources, tasks and target deadlines.

Oversee the implementation of new systems, upgrades to existing systems and problem resolution.

Analyze current business processes and workflows within the bank to identify automation opportunities.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure automated solutions meet operational and regulatory needs.

Design, develop and troubleshoot automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual errors, and optimize resource allocation.

Organize user training for new systems and application upgrades.

Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive IT documentation for all systems, processes, and procedures.

Adhere to Change Management requirements and obtain proper approvals.

Continually monitor systems for performance issues.

Take initiative to research, resolve, and be self-reliant related to managing projects, tasks, problems, and job responsibilities.

Point of escalation contact for troubleshooting system issues.

Business Analysis and Design:

Analyze and create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software.

Define the business opportunities and problems and primary objectives of new projects.

Identify and validate key business requirements.

Lead cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts.

Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions that could improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

Stay updated on banking and financial technology trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

Create functional requirements in use cases. Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with users representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray the specified business needs.

Vendor Relationship Management:

Point of contact for users and system vendors.

Responsible for managing and monitoring vendor problems, notifications, projects, and performance.

Collaborate with other financial institutions to understand alternative solutions and evaluate best practices.

Attend vendor and user conferences to stay informed of application and system capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

H.S. Diploma Required

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or if in related field, equivalent work experience preferred

Experience:

8+ years of experience in systems analysis, systems support and project management

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
  • Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
