POSITION SUMMARY: Working under direct supervision, this position supports IT Security Managers. As part of a cross-functional team, participate in the implementation and administration of security activities and solutions of low to medium complexity. (ONSITE in Jacksonville, FL). Visa sponsorship is NOT available

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL, BASIC AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION. THESE FUNCTIONS ARE NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF ALL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND SKILLS REQUIRED.

• Daily Operational Activities: Participates in core security team activities, such as:
  • Incident handling, ticket triage and response
  • Risk and exception identification and review
  • Vulnerability scanning and remediation
• Security Project Work: Participate in the:
  • Evaluation, development and implementation of security controls and tools, including expanding the scope of use
  • Security compliance audits
  • Vulnerability assessments
  • Perform system administration for all security tools
• Relationship Management: Utilizing general direction from management, consulting and advising strategic partners on assigned projects to help ensure secure solutions and services are procured, developed, implemented, and maintained.
• Governance: Develop, modify, and present security awareness program materials to enable Citizen's workforce, vendors, and customers to adopt Information Security policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
• Innovate and educate: Educate and train staff on information system security best practices. Participates in remediation planning processes by meeting with key stakeholders and managers to develop appropriate response action plans.
• Development & Enhancements: Actively educate self on new and emerging threats and techniques that effect Citizens and the world at large. Develops or proposes new, enhanced, or unique solutions for emerging threats and vulnerability risks.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of IT Security theory/practices
• Basic Knowledge of IT Risk and Compliance theory/practices
• Basic Knowledge of relevant laws, auditing principles and incident handling
• Basic Knowledge of IT Infrastructure/ architecture/ roles and responsibilities
• Basic Knowledge of IT Security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Critical Security Controls
• Basic Knowledge of IT Engineering principles
• Ability to work independently
• Effective communication skills with ability to conceptualize
• Ability to use tools and techniques to gather data
• Proficiency in MS Office and query reporting
• Conceptualize requirements into comprehensible models
• Ability to work on multiple initiatives at once
• Business presentation skills
• Time management skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma GED
• Associate/Technical Degree OR 2 years relevant experience, OR a combination of both college and experience equivalent to 2 years

AND

• 0-1 years professional experience in IT Security, Infrastructure, Operations or Support organizations. Associate degree in related field (2 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree, for a total of 2 years of relevant experience)

Additional education may count towards work experience

SCOPE/COMPLEXITY OF WORK:

• What percentage of time is accountable for transactional, day-to-day operational support? 75%
• What percentage of time is accountable for short-term operational goals? 25%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous: Stationary position, Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information.

Occasional: Travel.
