Position Overview Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Release Manager to plan, coordinate and verify the deployment of IT solutions into production, collaborating closely with product teams, IT operations and PMO. The Release Manager will champion the adoption of Agile practices across the organization, supporting the advancement of more automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), with the goal of delivering new functionality and features to customers safely and quickly in a sustainable way.
Key Accountabilities - Create and maintain a Release Calendar with cadence of activities across Production and Non-Production environments for teams to use in planning their development and testing activities.
- Conduct release readiness stage-gate reviews, release de-conflict session and post-mortems, with the goal of helping manage risk and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Proactively provide release health status, by identifying risks and obstacles that may impact release delivery; escalate and discuss with appropriate team members, define remediation activities and drive resolution
- Act as a central point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the release process. Communicate release plans, timelines, and requirements to different teams. Provide regular updates on release progress and status, Improving communication and transparency.
- Collaborate with other teams like DevOps and QA to continuously identify areas for improvement in the release process, implementing best practices and tools to streamline it, including automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Manage release schedules and dependencies, considering third-party applications, defect backlogs, and infrastructure updates.
- Responsible for the release landscape and environments management, code synch, data synch, etc
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in release management, including different release scheduling strategies from release windows to release trains to continuous release.
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, including practices such as fully automated deployment, fully automated regression testing, feature toggles, self-recovering components, etc and their related systems.
- Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile practices and project management principles.
- Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships
- Experience in setting up Continuous Deployment / Integration / Delivery throughout the software engineering lifecycle.
- Ability to interact positively with a diverse group of individuals and recognize key stakeholders and develop tactics to effectively implement change.
- Authentic curiosity and learning agility to deeply understand business needs and IT landscape challenges. Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
- Desire and ability to mentor staff.
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to work within a matrix-run organization.
- Must be independent, self-motivated and detailed oriented
- Experience with ServiceNow and Jira
Preferred Qualifications - ITIL certification
- Agile certification
- Retail industry experience
The hiring range for this position ranges from $134,810- $158,600. The salary offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
