Job Title: Disaster Recovery Specialist
Job Type: Contract; 6 Months Contract

Job Description:
  • Supports disaster recovery (DR) efforts by providing essential capacity to meet governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Works through a pipeline of initiatives to align with Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (eGRC) policies and legal/regulatory standards.
  • Plays a vital role in minimizing aggregate risk and impact from disaster recovery events, ensuring organizational resilience.
  • Responsible for coordinating planning and completion of DR playbooks and conducting DR exercises.
  • Identifies strengths and weaknesses in recovery strategies and provides recommendations to enhance business technology resiliency.
  • Supports investment decisions by delivering recovery and testing results that inform disaster avoidance and impact reduction strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification.
  • At least one ITIL v3 Intermediate or ITIL 4 Practitioner certification related to Incident Management or Problem Management.
  • 5+ years of experience applying ITIL best practices in a professional IT environment.
  • 2+ years of experience using ServiceNow platforms in a professional IT environment.
  • 2+ years of experience scheduling and facilitating IT-related meetings and compiling/sending recaps.
  • 2+ years of experience creating executive-friendly communications and documentation.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Visio, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL v3 Intermediate Operational Support and Analysis (OSA) or ITIL 4 Practitioner (Incident Management or Problem Management) certification.
  • Recent role required applying ITIL best practices in a professional IT environment.
  • Recent role required working with ServiceNow platforms in a professional IT environment.
