Akkodis is seeking an IT Project Manager for a contract job with a client in Kalamazoo, MI, Parsippany, NJ or Durham, NC. We are looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to provide oversight and hands-on project management support within the Veterinary Research and Development (VMRD) portfolio. This role plays a critical part in ensuring successful project execution while adhering to PMO and Financial Management policies and processes. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all project-related activities, maintaining accurate project plans, status reporting, and cost tracking. This individual will work closely with Delivery Leads, Solution Partners, engineers, IT PMO, and Finance teams to proactively identify risks and drive issue resolution.

Salary Range: $60.00/hour to $67.50 per hour. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

IT Project Manager job responsibilities include:

• Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, integrity, and effective vendor management.

• Track milestones, forecasts, and costs to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope.

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on track.

• Take ownership of light business analysis tasks.

• Support the Portfolio Lead with quarterly and monthly project forecast updates, cross-functional coordination, and variance analysis.

• Ensure timely and high-quality PMO deliverables, including status reports, change requests, and fund reallocations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field.

• 5+ years of IT project management experience within structured PMO operations.

• Strong understanding of IT project scheduling and execution.

• Experience in pharma research and development (preferred).

• Solid grasp of financial principles and project accounting.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, PowerBI, and portfolio management platforms.

• PMP certification preferred.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $67.50 per hour
