Overview:
GD Resources is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale IT implementation within the government sector. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with expertise in stakeholder coordination, vendor management, technical integration, and change management. The Project Manager will ensure the successful rollout of a new platform, managing onboarding processes across multiple counties and working closely with government entities, vendors, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison between the agency and the vendor during platform onboarding.
  • Oversee a structured, phased rollout across all participating counties.
  • Support requirement gathering, troubleshooting, and process refinement for onboarding.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure clear communication and aligned expectations.
  • Identify and document key contacts, technical resources, and system capabilities.
  • Organize and lead regular meetings, workshops, and progress updates.
  • Assist stakeholders with platform integration, including file uploads, configurations, and API usage.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and align their systems with the new platform.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data security, transmission protocols, and compliance. Develop and maintain a detailed project plan with defined tasks, timelines, and milestones.
  • Proactively track risks, resolve challenges, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Oversee testing, training, and knowledge transfer for successful system adoption.
  • Maintain detailed records of onboarding processes, technical workflows, and county configurations.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to agency leadership on project status and key decisions.
  • Capture lessons learned and apply best practices for future implementations.
  • Act as a bridge between stakeholders and the vendor to resolve technical challenges.
  • Lead troubleshooting sessions and document recurring issues and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with government IT security and data governance policies.
  • Develop and execute a clear communication plan to manage project changes effectively.
  • Support stakeholders in adapting to new processes and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Provide training and reference materials for end-users and technical teams.
Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience managing large-scale IT projects, preferably in government or public-sector environments.
  • 8 years of experience leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and integration efforts.
  • 8 years of experience developing and executing project plans, managing timelines, and mitigating risks.
  • 8 years of experience engaging and communicating with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, and external vendors.
  • 8 years of experience coordinating with government entities and managing distributed teams
  • 8 years of experience with verbal and written communication providing clear guidance, reports, and documentation.
  • 5 years of experience conducting meetings, training sessions, and status updates with stakeholders at various levels.
  • 5 years of experience with data exchange methods, including file uploads, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Active Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience working in complex multi-vendor or multi-team IT environment. (Preferred)
  • 5 years of experience working in public-sector IT projects, particularly those involving large-scale system rollouts. (Preferred)
